I was born, raised and educated in Leeds, UK, and started diving at 9 year in 2004 as part of a Talent Identification programme run by the City of Leeds Diving Club. I decided to represent my dad's nation of Jamaica in 2011 and had my first international competitions in 2012 with the goal of qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympics being the primary objective. I graduated from Leeds Beckett University in 2016 with a degree in Sport & Exercise Science, and have since done a PG Cert in International Sports Development with the University of London, and a qualification in Coaching and Mentoring with the Institute of Leadership and Management. I started coaching diving in 2013 as something to do alongside my own career. Paris 2024 was my 3rd Olympic Games after Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, I made the semi-final on all three occasions, but in Paris I missed out on the final by only 4 points. I've won silver medals on 3m at the 2016 World Cup, on 1m at the 2019 Pan Am Games as well as at two Grand Prix events, both on 3m, in Madrid in 2020 and in Calgary in 2022. I have just retired from diving following my competition in Paris, but I plan to stay involved in diving by coaching and working on the development of a programme in Jamaica.
