E126:

Take a step back from the longer interview content to have a glass of lemonade. Did you ever have a lemonade stand as a child? What did that mean to you then and what does that part of your story mean now? In this brief episode I speak on the value I see in that as an early experiment of teaching children entrepreneurial traits and business principles young and go into some in depth of how I made additional income streams when I was younger to get to the goals I had then. Have you ever had some things you did as a kid that seem more a part of you now that you look back at the trait before you got to where you are? We often reveal little bread crumbs about who we are going to become through choices and ways to figure things when we are younger but it’s not always obvious when we are making them at that point. What was your lemonade stand then and what is it now? I always stop at every lemonade stand, I want people to understand as early as possible they can create ways to make income and do what is enjoyable for them with hard work.

In This Episode We Cover

  • Common traits of young entrepreneurs / creatives
  • Why lemonade stands mean something more
  • Raising children with entrepreneurial challenges
  • Scarcity forms creation
  • Investing what you have to make more
  • Seeing young traits in ourselves when we are older
  • Learning to create your own income
  • Finding ways to make something you want happen

Quotes

“You 100% at all times, no matter what you’re doing have to stop for a lemonade stand, 100%.” - Host Dave Swillum
