Welcome to episode 97, the countdown to episode 100 continues, and in this episode, I have the honor of interviewing Bishop Tom Bryant.

Of all the titles that clergy can use, Tom Bryant loves “Pastor” the most. It combines the role of shepherding and loving a particular people with the function of leading through Word and Sacrament. Bishop Bryant was Ordained in 1986. He has served as a church planter, a senior pastor, a professor, and a vice-president of a multi-million dollar mission’s agency. He was Consecrated a Bishop in 2019 and sees his role as serving the Church through caring for those called to Holy Orders.

Bishop Bryant loves the Independent Old Catholic Church and is ruthlessly committed to teaching, promoting, and celebrating the “old paths” that Jeremiah described (Jer.6.16) as the best means for 'Holding to the Faith once delivered.” (Jude 3). Tom attended Liberty University, Concordia Theological Seminary, the University of Virginia, Bethany Theological Seminary, and Agape Seminary, terminating with two earned Doctorates in historical theology and Sacred Dogmatic studies. Postdoctoral studies include a Diploma in Forestry from the North American School of Conservation and a Diploma from Radford University in Non-Profit Leadership. Tom is married to his partner in life, Sherry, and have five wonderful children and seven grandchildren between them.
