'A Cutoff Cruise' & 'Too Drunk To Drive' & 'Botched House Job'
Manage episode 490700733 series 3410861
First, the plaintiff says that shortly after they started dating, she told the defendant she was going on a cruise with her family. He asked to join, so she booked a spot for him. Not long after, he turned around and went no contact without ever paying her for the cruise. She is suing for her money back. The defendant admits he was interested in going on the cruise with the plaintiff but discovered she was married and a little crazy. He never committed to the cruise, just expressed interest.
Then, the plaintiff claims the defendant was drunk and driving down a one-way street in the wrong direction when he crashed into the plaintiff’s car. The defendant’s insurance paid for the damages, but she still wants the impound fees paid for by the defendant, so she’s suing. The defendant is surprised by the lawsuit since his insurance settled up with the plaintiff, and she took her time getting the car out of storage.
Plus, the plaintiff says she hired her husband’s cousin to do a siding job for them on their house, and he botched it. She says he admitted after he was done that he didn’t know what he was doing, and she’s suing to get the money back. The defendant says the plaintiff is impossible to please, and he went back three or four times to fix the issues.
