Career Education is interesting because it seems so pigeonholed. Isn’t career education what school in general is all about? Yet, career education is funded differently, received and perceived differently by parents and students, and separated from public and private schools in general.

Still, despite the stigma and the odds, career education is booming, and it’s helping to rebuild local businesses and economies that need a stronger workforce to survive.

In this episode of Purpose Under Pressure, host Bryan Lefelhoc, founder of Bryan Media Strategies talks with Mike Parry, the superintendent of Grant Career Center, about the importance of career education and the challenges faced in providing it.

They discuss the growth of the center, the need for community and business support, and the evolving landscape of education funding. Mike shares his vision for the future of career education, emphasizing the need for collaboration and innovative thinking to better serve students and prepare them for the workforce.

The conversation also touches on the role of parents in guiding their children’s career paths and the importance of adapting to the changing educational environment.

Purpose Under Pressure is brought to you in partnership with Sandler by the Ruby Group, serving sales professionals and sales organizations nationwide from their locations in Akron and Columbus, Ohio, in upstate New York and in Jacksonville, Florida
