In the second episode of "The Fundamentals of Prayer," Duane Sheriff teaches that the primary purposes of prayer are communication, fellowship, and partnership with God. Prayer is the lifeline that keeps us connected to Jesus, allowing His life to flow through us. Using the imagery of the vine and branches in John 15 illustrates our need to 'abide' in Christ. Without this continuous connection, we are unable to bear spiritual fruit.
