It was a very special day in church on Sunday and it reminded me of E Stanley Jones and his wisdom!

For those of us who celebrate the liturgical year of the church last Sunday was a very special day. It goes by a number of names now but we will just simply use the one that we know as Christ the King Sunday.
And many of us dressed in special ways and we certainly sang a number of songs that emphasized that indeed Jesus was and is the king. The idea of a king is a little more difficult to understand in these modern days but the testimony of scripture is quite clear. Jesus was the king and he was bringing to us a whole new kingdom.
And so we need to talk about that and to join the kingdom. And for Stanley Jones as he grew in his thinking about God and his will and his ways, became more convinced that we needed to tell people not just about Jesus, but about the kingdom of God. We need to talk about the Lord Jesus of the kingdom.
Well you are all very busy this week, but please give me 10 minutes to give a few thoughts to the idea of Jesus the king and perhaps about the wisdom of Stanley Jones, and indeed maybe he is truly one of the great modern day Saints!
