Welcome to What's Up Young Authors! Where Host and Young Author Amelie Anastasia Kurshuk interviews other Young Authors about their work and what inspires them. Today, Amelie interviews two inspiring young authors, Ayla and Calla Rybicki, 8 and 10 years old from Northern Michigan. Ayla and Calla published their first book, Scary Stories for Creepy Kids, when they were 5 and 7 years old, and have gone on to publish a two more books, More Scary Stories for Creepy Kids and Create your Own Scary Stories for Creepy Kids!

They like to keep their stories "short and spooky with a side of silly," and include recipes and their own illustrations! Their latest book is a write-and-illustrate-your-own-scary-stories guide, bringing readers in on the fun!

You can find Scary Stories for Creepy Kids on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and at local bookstore Horizon Books.

Ayla and Calla have their own Podcast, Scary Stories for Creepy Kids, featuring short spooky stories, available on your favorite Podcast platforms.
