Watch the video: https://lifeminute.tv/music/video/aj-croce-talks-new-album-overcoming-adversity-young-age-and-getting-know-his-late The son of late folk-rock visionary Jim Croce and his wife, singer-songwriter Ingrid Croce, A.J. became a piano virtuoso at a young age, destined to follow in his famous father’s musical greatness. At just 18 years old, he toured with B.B. King and later with Ray Charles—all before reaching the age of 21—after enduring the tragic loss of his father in a 1973 plane crash when he was just two, and a total loss of eyesight from ages four to ten. The musician and singer-songwriter has proven his continued resilience over the past three decades, releasing an impressive 11 studio albums and charting on an eclectic array of charts from Top 40, blues, Americana, jazz, and more. His most recent record, Heart of the Eternal , the follow-up to his critically lauded cover album By Request , debuted in the Top 20 on the Billboard Americana/Folk charts and in the Top 40 on the Billboard Current Rock Albums. Fresh off the heels of his successful Croce Plays Croce 50th Anniversary Tour, which celebrated his father’s iconic work, the enormously talented artist with his refreshingly positive spirit joined us in the LifeMinute Studios to tell us about his new album, remembering his dad through his music, and how he has a new lease on life and love. Watch the video: https://lifeminute.tv/music/video/singer-songwriter-chuck-prophet-looks-back-his-career-overcoming-cancer-and-how-hes There isn't much that journeyman musician Chuck Prophet hasn't covered in his 40-plus years in the rock and roll biz. In 1984, he was a member of the Paisley Underground music scene in Los Angeles, having his first brush with success playing in the revered band Green on Red. Since the band’s dissolution, he has not only been steadily churning out his own unique brand of Americana rock while incorporating a wide variety of influences but also collaborating with a long, eclectic list of artists, including Warren Zevon, Kelly Willis, Jim Dickinson, Jonathan Richman, and Alejandro Escovedo. This list, of course, only scratches the surface. Chuck is back with his latest effort, Wake The Dead, which comes four years after his previous record. This time, he is bringing the band ¿Qiensave? along for the ride. After a major health scare in 2022 (battling stage 4 lymphoma), along with the COVID lockdown, Chuck found himself gravitating toward a form of Latin dance music called Cumbia. The origins of this music started in Colombia, but it has since spread throughout Latin American countries, including Mexico and Argentina. Now cancer-free, Prophet is hitting the road with a six-piece band, bringing his variation of Cumbia along with some classics that have his fans dancing in the aisles. Chuck sat with editor-in-chief Joann Butler at the LifeMinute Studios in Times Square recently to enthrall us with stories from his past, what inspires him, and what lies ahead. This is a LifeMinute with Chuck Prophet.…

Watch the video: https://lifeminute.tv/music/video/home-mustaines-megadeths-dave-mustaine-and-his-family-fill-us-their-fine-wine-biz-talk Music Pioneer Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine has always been an innovator, breaking musical barriers and leading the way to his own unique blend of symphonic thrash metal. So, it’s no surprise that Dave and his equally as creative family have incorporated that intrepid spirit into a family business. They call it House of Mustaine—blending music, culture, and the art of fine winemaking. But this is not your ordinary name on a label. The Mustaines have dived deep, establishing their own vineyards, currently in the wine capitals of the world, both Italy and California, pouring their heart and soul into every bottle with a passion and deep respect for tradition, sustainability, and innovation in every pour. Inspired by Megadeth’s groundbreaking collaboration with the San Diego Symphony and wanting to offer both traditional Megadeth fans and symphony patrons alike with fine wine, it has since expanded its portfolio to include ten small-batch, limited-edition wines grown in its sustainable vineyards across the globe. Each wine is a celebration of authenticity and artistry, named after one of Dave’s iconic songs and stamped with the Mustaine family crest. Just as every song has a story through its lyrics and melody, so does every wine through its culture and craftsmanship. Each bottle is a statement, making it just as bold, uncompromising, and unforgettable as the rock’n’roll legacy it was founded on. House of Mustaine offers a flexible, subscription-based wine club that includes access to exclusive events and curated luxury travel experiences, first dibs on new releases, special pricing, access to all wines, and customizable monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual shipments of its current offerings. House of Mustaine Wine Club members will also have private access to once-in-a-lifetime trips across the globe, with monthly luxury travel experiences being offered throughout 2025, starting with a February adventure to Thailand. The six-day trek will adventure through northern Thailand, blending high-energy outdoor activities (i.e., zip-lining, elephant safaris, white-water rafting) with authentic cultural and local culinary experiences, and stays in unique luxury accommodations. Find out more about the House of Mustaine Wine Club and join today at houseofmustaine.com/wineclub . It’s literally music to your mouth. LifeMinute was fortunate enough to be invited into the home of Dave, his wife Pamela, and their daughter Electra to hear all about the wine, get a fabulous tour of their beautiful house, and, of course, get the scoop on the latest Megadeth news. The critically acclaimed rock group—consisting of vocalist Gordon Downie who passed away from brain cancer in 2017, guitarist Paul Langlois, guitarist Rob Baker, bassist Gord Sinclair, and drummer Johnny Fay—found success in their native country, going on to be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and Canada's Walk of Fame. Up To Here was originally released September 5, 1989, as The Tragically Hip’s first full-length studio album, an introduction that brought them breakthrough success, including two Canadian rock radio #1 singles, “Blow at High Dough” and “New Orleans is Sinking.” The album also earned the band a JUNO Award for “Most Promising Artist” in 1990. Earlier in 2024, they officially dropped a new single, “Get Back Again,” which fans consider the holy grail of previously unreleased tracks from the band. The track was recorded before the band signed their first major record deal. The song recently reached #1 in Canada, marking their first chart-topping hit in 15 years. If that wasn’t enough for fans, they got an even deeper look at the band in a four-part documentary series, The Tragically Hip: No Dress Rehearsal . Since becoming a viral sensation on YouTube, the Hawaii native has had the opportunity of a lifetime to collab with some of his biggest idols including Jimmy Buffett, Jack Johnson, Bette Midler, Ziggy Marley, Sonny Landreth, Billy Strings, and Willie Nelson… to name a few. For his latest musical venture, the renowned ukulele virtuoso was joined by legendary drummer and co-founder of one of the best-selling bands of all time, FLEETWOOD MAC, Mick Fleetwood. The duo recently released, Blues Experience , a fresh take on the genre with reimagined versions of Blues classics. Joining Shimabukuro and Fleetwood on the album are bassist Jackson Waldhoff and keyboard player Michael Grande. Special guest Mark Johnstone from The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band also lends his keyboard prowess to "Need Your Love So Bad" and "Rockin' In The Free World." Over two intense three-day sessions, the band recorded nine tracks live in the studio, with Sonny Landreth contributing slide guitar to the Jeff Beck/Stevie Wonder classic "Cause We've Ended As Lovers." Not long after the completion of the record, Maui was devastated by historic wildfires. At the benefit concert in Honolulu, Fleetwood once again joined Shimabukuro and the band to perform the songs on Blues Experience for the first time.
