Eric Eichinger is a pastor, author, and speaker with a passion for illuminating the gospel through his writings and sermons that showcase stories of faith and devotion.

In this episode, Eric shares his journey of discovering the compelling story of Eric Liddell, the Olympic gold medalist and missionary who inspired the film Chariots of Fire. Eric tells the story of how he got the opportunity to write a biography of Eric Liddell’s missionary life after the Olympics and what his faith looked like when he was stuck in an internment camp in China. Eric later shares how his life imitated Eric Liddell’s life in certain ways as he grew in his faith and how this eventually brought about this book.

Later in the episode we discuss the significance of the various numbers that are repeated throughout Scripture in the Old Testament and the New, and finally we discuss the unique challenges Eric faces as a pastor as well as his encouragement to other believers who want to pursue their creative gifts. I hope you are encouraged by this episode as I was.
