National Treasury could withhold funds to the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) if it finds that conditions attached to its budget allocation are not being met, and among those conditions is the verification of grant recipients; the Western Cape High Court is hearing the application by the City of Cape Town to evict dozens of people living in and around Hope Street Park in Gardens; the Sidewalks Specials team provide veterinary services for free every fortnight to the cats and dogs of De Doorns.
