In today's episode, we're talking about something that I hear about a lot in my practice and from you all online: low back pain and sciatica during pregnancy (and also postpartum). I'm sharing some of the physical and hormonal reasons that may lead to these issues, mistakes I see, the number one thing I recommend when people come into my office, and changes you can make outside of the gym.

I also stress that just because something is common does not mean it's normal*. There are things that can be done to get you feeling better during pregnancy and postpartum, especially at home. It's the whole reason that I created my "Fix your pelvic pain during pregnancy" plan for pregnancy and postpartum, because there's so much that you can do at home.

*If you're experiencing numbness, tingling, or weakness, that is a reason to talk to your provider and get a referral to someone if you need it.
