I didn’t just come to Mexico City for the vibes — I came to live, to breathe, to build something real. But living here as a Black woman means constantly navigating the weight of gentrification and global anti-Blackness. In this episode of Sh8peshift Your Life, I share my personal journey of making home in CDMX while wrestling with what it means to be both part of the change and impacted by it. We’re talking displacement, cultural extraction, and the layered experience of Black folks across the diaspora carving out space in cities not built with us in mind. This one’s for anyone trying to root without erasing — and live free without causing harm.
