"I was 15 when my naked picture was leaked"... with Jess Davies
Manage episode 487642723 series 3304639
In recent episodes, we’ve been discussing the disturbing rise in male violence against women and girls, and how technology is accelerating and amplifying these threats. From AI-generated deepfakes to the non-consensual sharing of intimate images, the digital world has created new frontiers for abuse and it’s more important than ever to talk about it.
Today, we're continuing that conversation with presenter, women’s rights campaigner, and former model Jess Davies.
Jess opens up about her personal experience of being a victim of image abuse multiple times in her life, including when she was a child. She talks about the long-lasting impact that trauma had on her sense of self, her career, and her relationships and how she has used that experience to become an advocate for women.
Jess’s new book No One Wants To See Your Dick - is a handbook for survival in the digital world to help us understand and tackle online misogyny and question society's understanding (or lack of) when it comes to consent. You can buy your copy here!
