"So I think this whole idea of cumulative culture is a way to make humans exceptional. But it's clear to me that humans are exceptional, and seeing it through baboon glasses, I can understand in a different way why they're exceptional. But many of the things that we think are uniquely human are actually present in other animals." - Dr. Shirley Strum Dr. Shirley Strum is a groundbreaking anthropologist who has spent over five decades living alongside wild baboons in Kenya. Her work has transformed our understanding of these intelligent, socially complex animals — their relationships, their adaptability, and the intricate societies they create. In her new book, Echoes of Our Origins , Shirley challenges long-held beliefs about evolution, the human-animal divide, and what it truly means to coexist. This conversation is about science — but it’s also about humility, hope, and the messy, beautiful complexity of life on Earth. It’s time to address the elephant in the room - Ozempic.
We know that Ozempic will change - and is already changing - the body image landscape. There is so much noise online, in the media and in our personal lives about the so called ‘miracle’ drug - so we decided to call in the help of an expert, to clear up the myths from the facts.
Dr Giles Yeo is a professor at the University of Cambridge, whose research focuses on food intake, genetics and obesity. We got him in the studio to answer all the questions we had about Ozempic - to help us understand the science behind the drug that everyone is talking about.

This week on Should I Delete That , we’re talking about sex. Our guest is Catriona Boffard: clinical psychosexologist, psychotherapist and globally recognised expert on sex and relationships. She’s here to help us understand the real reasons why so many of us often struggle with intimacy - and she explains that it’s often not *just* about sex. With your questions in hand, in this episode we cover everything from orgasms and libido to shame, pleasure and desire. And one of the biggest things we took away from this conversation was that it’s normal to have questions about sex - and that it’s healthy to talk about problems that we may be having. We all fell in love with Daisy on the show - she’s funny, incredibly capable and she always tells it like it is, whether she’s juggling demanding charter guests or dealing with complicated boatmances. We had SO many questions for Daisy - how do you get cast on Below Deck? How does she manage working so hard and playing so hard? How much of what we see is real? and do cast members fight for screen time? Daisy gave us such an amazing insight into two fascinating worlds - reality TV and yachting - and if you’re not hooked on Below Deck already, you will be after listening to this. Today, we're stepping into the world of BDSM... We’re joined by the brilliant Sherry Lever, who is known professionally as Mistress Sofia. She is a 74-year-old grandmother who just so happens to be Britain’s oldest professional dominatrix. From the outside, the world of BDSM might seem intimidating… and we certainly had a lot to learn. But Sherry breaks down the myths for us, highlighting the importance of communication, consent and boundaries within her work, to reveal the more emotional side of being a dominatrix. She even introduced us to a very different kind of CBT (and it’s not the type your therapist offers...) Today, we’re joined by criminal behavioural analyst and creator of The Crime Analyst podcast - Laura Richards. She came in to help us unpack and understand the media and public conversation around the high profile cases of Sean Diddy Combs, Blake Likely vs Justin Baldoni, Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard and Russell Brand. Laura trained at New Scotland Yard and the FBI Behavioural Analysis Units and is an international expert on domestic violence, stalking, sexual violence, homicide and risk assessment. Laura breaks down what’s happening inside these high profile courtrooms and with her expertise in coercive control, power dynamics and the criminal justice system, she helps us understand how these cases reflect misogyny, victim-blaming and institutional failure.
