Laura's Notes from the Sidelines:
You deserve to be happy and not compromise. We are allowed to say, "This is not okay," and we can turn our pain into purpose, because we can't let it derail us. Sometimes you have to go back and heal your younger version... it's called inner child work. Whether you experienced Big T or little T trauma, don't dismiss it because it was in the past. You can heal and introduce play. Families have unwritten rules and dynamics that can stop us from being our true selves. If you don't put yourself out there and share your story, the people who need to hear it won't have their growth opportunity. We all want someone to talk to, but we've been societalized to shame misery and unpleasant feelings. SHAME IS BROKEN IN COMMUNITY AND CONVERSATION! We have to love ourselves enough to go through this world real and authentic. Some people won't like that you've set up boundaries, but boundaries are the ultimate act of self-love. The people who don't like your boundaries are the ones who benefitted from you not having any. When you get a compliment, say THANK YOU.Laura's Instagram page Laura's TikTok page Laura's YouTube Laura's LinkedIn
