A Simply Wholehearted phrase is that we are all broken, we are all blowing it, but the brave one does something about it. Understanding our past stories helps us step into healing, embrace our true identity, and live as wholehearted guides for others. Story work is vital to the healing process.

In this conversation with Adam Young, we’ll explore how story shapes identity and how we often shift between different roles in our story—Victim, Villain, Hero, and Guide—especially as we engage in healing work.

We also discuss how his book, Make Sense of Your Story: Why Engaging Your Past With Kindness Changes Everything, helps you walk through your past with kindness rather than shame.
