Bekas Pengarah Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia (Maritim Malaysia) Zon Maritim Tanjung Sedili, Mohd Zulfadli Nayan, dijatuhi hukuman penjara 20 bulan oleh Mahkamah Sesyen, Johor Bahru pada Jumaat selepas didapati bersalah menerima suapan wang tunai RM10,000 sebagai balasan tidak mengambil tindakan terhadap sebuah kapal yang sedang disiasat, lima tahun lalu, lapor wartawan Sinar Harian, Nuratikah Athilya Hassan.
Hakim Datuk Ahmad Kamal Arifin Ismail dalam penghakimannya menyatakan bahawa pihak pendakwaan berjaya membuktikan kes melampaui keraguan munasabah.
