At first glance, setting goals seems straightforward. You define what you want—perhaps losing weight, writing a book, or learning a new language—and then outline a series of actions needed to achieve that goal. However, the reason many people struggle or ultimately fail to reach their goals isn't because their goals are unclear or unattainable. Instead, it's because their self-image or identity doesn’t align with the goal itself.

The Identity Loop addresses this by suggesting that real, sustainable change begins when you start identifying as the person who achieves your desired outcomes.
