Marcelo Cusacovich, Xylem Product Manager for Drinking Water Optimization Solutions, takes us behind the scenes of a case study from the city of Nashville, Tennessee, where water network optimization is helping utility water managers make better decisions based on analytics such as 24/7 measured and predictive pressure data.
Cusacovich shares how he works with utilities to find better ways to deliver water to consumers through lower costs from utilities, more accessibility, and maintaining consistent levels of service. He also discusses the concept of 'water age' as a proxy for water quality, and how he determines how old water is based on various treatment and transportation methods.
