Let us know what’s on your mind

In the latest episode of the podcast we chat with Matthew Dowling, a year into his role as Chief Commercial Officer at Leinster Rugby and relishing the complexity and the excitement of it.
On Croke Park
"So obviously we didn't have full control over over pricing. We don't always, but we tried to and our ticketing team are so experienced that they were able to kind of say, listen, if we keep this to the right price, we reckon we can get there."
On Sponsorship
"The amount of our commercial revenue that comes from partnerships, sponsorships, and ticketing is so high that you need to make sure you get those right because they're your bread and butter, but you have to look at other things that will future proof the club and you have to look at other things that will drive the club forward."
On Social Media
"We've grown our social engagement significantly in terms of social media. So I think last year we did nearly 40 million video views and obviously a lot of those are the big moments that people would be familiar with, but we've gradually tried to bring more and more focus on the women's game and the school's game. We've got some interesting stuff coming up in that space soon."
And plenty more as well including we finish off with our starters for ten, getting to know Matthew a little better.
Join us next week when Team Ireland Chef de Mission from the Olympic Games in Paris will be our guest, until then have a great week and thanks for listening.
