“If you want to be productive, you have to be sustainable — and you can’t be sustainable and ignore your mental health.”

—Adam Wiseman

1 in 5 Canadians will experience mental illness at some point in their lives, and we all live with mental health challenges — in our personal and professional lives.

The pandemic has presented many extra mental challenges professionally, from a lack of boundaries as you work from home (or live at work!) to feeling isolated while physically distanced from loved ones and colleagues.

Adam Wiseman has 20 years’ experience working with adults with mental health issues and challenges across residential and professional settings.
After being admitted to hospital with work-induced stress, he founded Quality Mental Health Interventions (QMHI) Training and Consulting to help organizations implement mental health strategy and training in the workplace.

He joins me on the latest episode of Strategize Your Business Online to discuss making the business world more accessible and equitable for professionals with mental health challenges — especially in the time of Covid...

...including practices that you can start today — so that your relationships (with clients, colleagues, and yourself) are productive and healthy.

In‌ ‌this‌ ‌episode,‌ ‌you’ll discover:‌ ‌

  • ‘Covid keepers’ you should be incorporating into your personal and professional life to mitigate your psychological health (and ensure a sustainable work/life balance)
  • Why we should be focusing on a productive (rather than a positive) mental outlook — and tips for employers and entrepreneurs as we transition back into the workplace
  • How to set intentional and healthy boundaries with employers, employees, and clients to protect the things you value — your health, your time, and your business
