In this raw and vulnerable episode, I spoke with Britt Frank, a licensed Neuro-psychotherapist and author of "The Science of Stuck: Why You Get Stuck and How to Get Unstuck". Britt shares her personal journey of recovering from addiction, dysfunctional relationships, and even being part of a cult. Her advice for those going through trauma is to focus on safety first before trying to do inner work. We also discuss the power of self-parenting, acknowledging intrusive thoughts, and using internal family systems (IFS) to help the wounded parts of ourselves. Britt is an amazing example of overcoming life's setbacks and finding meaning to help others.
