Surf's up, wave riders! Get ready for a dynamic coastal forecast that's about to break down the action along Southern California's stunning shoreline.
Today's looking like a moderate rip current day with waves dancing between 1 to 4 feet depending on your beach zone. Malibu and Los Angeles County beaches are seeing 1 to 3 foot swells ramping up to 2 to 4 feet tonight, while Ventura County's got a slightly beefier 2 to 4 foot playground.
Water temperatures are deliciously inviting ranging from 60 to 67 degrees perfect for those brave souls ready to paddle out. The tides are playing a rhythmic game today with multiple low and high points creating some interesting wave conditions.
But hold onto your surfboards because Friday is turning up the excitement! We're looking at a high rip current risk across Malibu and Ventura with surf heights climbing to 3 to 6 feet. Mixed west and south swells will be generating some seriously sweet breaks.
Up north in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara, things are getting more intense with 4 to 8 foot swells and cooler water temperatures hovering around 51 to 53 degrees. Northwest and south swells are combining to create epic conditions for experienced wave hunters.
A word of caution surfers: those rip currents are no joke. Stay alert, know your limits, and respect the ocean's power. Thunderstorms? Not in the forecast so clean conditions are guaranteed.
Grab your board, check your gear, and may the waves be ever in your favor! Surf's on!
