Creativity through the lens of a communication coach for parents of teens and a spoken word artist

I'm Marcus, a 'communication coach' for parents of preteens. I help business professionals who are parents of 10 to 14 year olds effectively show up and connect with their preteen during these key formative years, in order to secure a relationship that lasts beyond a lifetime.
As a former missionary and high school English teacher, over my 15+ year career, l've:
• Worked with learners from 20+ countries as a teacher and mentor. This work experience has given me a deep insight into how young people relate to their parents, family, and our world.
• Founded a growing 'book community', 'Putting Parenting Books into Action', that helps parents show up for their preteens and connect with similar parents who share their experiences.
• Authored 'Inspire Life Through Words Series', a published set of personal inspirational poetry intended to create well-being. i Just for Fun On a lighter note, when I'm not deep in conversations with 'present' parents or teens, I'm Latin dancing (Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba) and moving my body through Crossfit and other sports. I love positive psychology, philosophy and what it means to live a good life.
