Keira and Bettina first met at Columbia's Indigenous Studies Summer Program in New York, and then three of us met at the UN's Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues this May. Bettina, native Guarani from Paraguay, and Keira, American genuinely interested in indigenous issues, are very good friends.
