You, dear listeners, may be wondering why we covered a movie about love and marriage, even though it does fit in with our other movies this month. While the supernatural veneer of zombies, loosely placed over a story about the social customs of the aristocracy, could be enough to make this movie a fantasy film, the designation is shaky at best. But then you take into account that the zombies are mainly people who were of the lower classes and the aristocracy are the only humans left, then this cleverly twists the story to be about class struggle, and we all know by now that any fantasy movie worth its salt is about political tension. Plus zombies eating the rich is the ultimate power fantasy, so there’s that.
