In this episode, Stevyn Bonner joins me as we discuss the fact that followers of Christ do not do what we do in response to culture, but like Jesus, we are to go as obedient missionaries who have been sent by God and He will use us to help transform culture for His glory.
Brad Brisco has stated that "Christians are not just the “called out,” we are the “sent out.” Because God is a missionary God, we must be a missionary people." For too long, the Church has seen itself through the lens of culture, so too many within the Church do not know who we are or what we believe. It is best to see ourselves in light of the mission of God. God is the Creator of culture. It was always His intention to run the world through humans. God sent Jesus and, in turn, sends us. The Church does not just send missionaries; the Church is the missionary.
