Something the Wizard told Pop that Jerry had died heroically sacrificing himself to save the ship from a tentacle monster. He didn't, he died by accident, but Something thought it would make Pop feel better about the situation. Pop turned to Raphael in their grief, and Raphael asked "What would Jerry do?" Apparently the answer? Kill Tony and the Cultists.
