On today's episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by hockey writer and sports media personality Joe Yerdon for a conversation covering everything going on with the Buffalo Sabres over the past week through the first day of free agency, including the addition of a goaltender and extension of a talented forward.
Sabres fans, the ones who haven't bailed on team completely are mostly irate and deservedly so. Joe has thoughts on everything that's happened to the team, what's going on now and what he forecasts between now and the start of the regular season in October including Ryan McLeod getting rewarded with a new four-year deal, Alex Lyon joining the goaltending group, the trade last week of JJ Peterka and tons more.
He also deals with a very angry Patrick, who has several Sabres related tangents to get off his chest, including the reported dismissal of a TV producer because the team broadcast has been considered "too critical" by higher ups in the organization as well as certain people in the sports media regularly talking down to frustrated fans, which sets Patrick off even farther. That and much more.
