A new feature project by award-winning OHIO Eminent Scholar of Film Rajko Grlić recently received major funding from the Croatian Audiovisual Centre. The College of Fine Arts interviewed Grlić to learn more about the project and about his approach to filmmaking. The film uses the main theme of the novel, ON THE EDGE OF REASON, written by Miroslav Krleza, to build an almost completely new story placed in the present. The script is co-written by Ante Tomic, best-selling author in Croatia, and Grlić. Support for the script’s first draft is from the College’s Dean’s Development Grant. Two of Grlić’s films, "The Constitution" and "That Summer of White Roses" are on Amazon Prime. This interview was recorded via a video calling platform on March 27, 2020, in Athens, Ohio, and not in person due to Ohio's stay-at-home orders in response to the corona virus pandemic.
