On June 18th, 2023, a submersible carrying five wealthy passengers was making it's way to the wreck of the Titanic. Around two hours into the descent, contact with the support ship was lost. After almost a week of searching, debris from the submersible was found on the ocean floor not far from the Titanic itself. Unfortunately, it was determined that the sub had imploded under the tremendous pressure.
