Dare to Care food bank CEO Vincent James Sr spoke on the growing needs for families and individuals who are food insecure and how current federal legislation could impact the organization.
At the 6:40 mark of the interview, Mr. James responded incorrectly to a question about Dare to Care's overhead costs, claiming that 55% of donated dollars went to administrative costs.
Dare to Care director of strategic initiatives Stan Siegwald sent follow up information to host Terry Meiners. In an email, Mr. Siegwald states:
"Our most recent financial audit shows our overhead at 8%. This is a major factor in our 100% rating on Charity Navigator. Thanks for asking the question and Iām sorry Vincent misspoke on air."
