After Chuck Jones left Warner Brothers, owing to many factors but not unrelated to Gay Purr-ee, he spent several years as an in-house director at MGM, which led to his entire Warner unit making Tom & Jerry theatrical shorts. Thus, Marc and Jordan look at three of them here, including Pent-House Mouse, Ah Sweet Mouse-Story of Life, and Cat and Dulpli-cat. This era of Tom and Jerry has a reputation, and the key to it hinges on Chuck himself, and his ability to understand what makes a great Tom and Jerry cartoon; he didn't.
