#32 - Ben Brimmer on Gut Battles, Preparations for MIUT 115, and Forming a Healthy Relationship with the Sport
Manage episode 478916477 series 3613651
This one’s a little different. Ben Brimmer is a good mate of Tommy's, and instead of the usual setup, they've recorded this episode out in the mountains - just two friends chatting about running, purpose, and everything in between.
Brim opens up about some of the harder chapters of his ultra journey - running to the point of hospitalisation, the burnout that followed, and what it felt like to lose the “why” and regain it again.
They went into how Brim has massively overcome his gut issues during endurance efforts and what have the biggest changes to his fuelling strategy on these big mountain efforts. With a better relationship to running, a healthier mindset, and a fresh perspective on what really matters.
It’s raw, honest, and full of the kind of reflections you only get when you’re moving through the mountains with a mate.
