In this episode I delve into my lived experiences around the death in police custody of my cousin Cameron "Murinji" Doomadgee on Palm Island QLD in 2004 and address the impact it had on Australia, my family and the personal toll it took on me. I unpack a few personal struggles that I have had over the years dealing with the trauma and responsibilities of representing my family name with honour, plus answer some hard truths! I also share my recent trip to Palm Island to perform a "Healing Ceremony" in honour of Murinji Doomadgee and hopefully bring some peace to his spirit, the community and my Doomadgee family on the island.
