The Cost of Being a True Disciple: Charlie Kirk’s Legacy of Boldness for Jesus
Manage episode 505798718 series 3674206
In this sobering episode, Coach Blanche reflects on the tragic killing of Charlie Kirk — Christian conservative activist, speaker, and founder of Turning Point USA — and what it reveals about the cost of being a disciple of Jesus in today’s world.
Being a Christian is not about wearing a cross necklace, posting verses on social media, or showing up to church once a week. It goes deeper. True discipleship means denying ourselves (Luke 9:23), receiving the free gift of salvation by faith (Ephesians 2:8), repenting and living transformed (2 Corinthians 5:17), boldly proclaiming Christ without shame (Romans 1:16), and living in total surrender to God (Matthew 22:37–39). To walk in the light is to reflect Christ’s love and truth in a dark world (1 John 1:7).
Charlie Kirk lived boldly and unashamed in the public square, and his death is a sobering reminder that following Jesus will cost us something. The question is: are we willing to pay the price? Are we living as true disciples—or settling for lukewarm Christianity?
🔥 This episode is a wake-up call: We cannot afford to be lukewarm anymore. We are either serving Jesus or not. Now is the time to rise with courage, conviction, and bold faith.
