Today I have the great pleasure of introducing you to Mike Fauteux. He has taught as a maths teacher (or math depending on where you are listening to this from), he has been an administrator and served as an innovation leader in middle and high schools in America. Today Mike serves as the co-founder of an amazing organisation called GiveThx. He co-created several edtech innovations designed to create more equitable learning. He believes that effective tools must be created with, by, and for students and educators. This organisation aims to support students who are significantly behind and struggling to catch up, by asking three key questions:

  1. What do you need to feel safe?
  2. What do you need to feel like you belong?
  3. What do you need to feel like you can succeed?

Mike was a wonderful guest and it was a privilege to speak with him.
