In this episode, Jasper Wognum, co-founder and CEO of BrainCreators speaks with Willem Drost, businessman and initiator of various trade missions for start-ups and scale-ups.
Drost worked in the United States for thirty years, thirteen of them in Silicon Valley. During this period he always visited the tech fair CES. He noticed that there were never any Dutch tech start-ups at the fair. In 2016, he decides to organize a Dutch trade mission to CES and there appears to be a lot of interest in this. He even managed to secure funding from the Ministry of Economic Affairs (EZK). A few years later he meets Jasper who is participating in the trade mission and they have been speaking to each other regularly ever since.
