Ismaeel Ahmed, a member of the APC board of trustees and the Special Adviser on Social Investment Programme makes it clear in this discussion that his party will be looking for a competent and qualified candidate to run in 2023 irrespective of his state of origin. He however acknowledges the need to be fair to other regions of the country knowing that politics in Nigeria is driven by ethno-religious sentiments.
