If your relationship is on the rocks, your best bet to patch things up might not be to seek counseling from a therapist, but from AI — or so posits a new study exploring the potential of ChatGPT in couples therapy. The experiment, which was published in PLOS Mental Health, put 830 participants in couples therapy scenarios to determine whether AI would receive more favorable marks than a human therapist.
