Reese, Pam and Alex discuss the Thunder's game 1 win and the Hurricanes game 1 loss.

The Oklahoma City Thunder dominated the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-88 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. Despite entering the game on just two days' rest, the Thunder showcased a strong second-half performance to secure the victory. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 31 points, including 20 in the second half, marking his fourth consecutive playoff game with over 30 points. The Thunder outscored the Timberwolves 70-40 in the second half, capitalizing on 17 forced turnovers that led to 31 points. They also shot 50% from the field and 52% from beyond the arc.

Minnesota's Julius Randle led his team with 28 points, but Anthony Edwards was limited to 18 points due to foul trouble and an ankle injury sustained in the first quarter. Rudy Gobert struggled offensively, scoring only five points. The Timberwolves' shooting faltered in the second half, finishing at 35% from the field and under 30% from three-point range. What should we think about Anthony Edwards?

In Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final, the Carolina Hurricanes fell to the Florida Panthers 5-2 at home in Raleigh. Despite entering the game undefeated at home in the playoffs, the Hurricanes couldn't overcome early deficits and Florida's strong special teams play.
