This is a topic that is much in the news – in fact, the United Kingdom has just become the first country to approve a treatment using the gene editing technique known as CRISPR.

But what, exactly is genomic editing, what opportunities does it provide, what challenges come with it, and for those of the Christian faith, how do our theological beliefs help us to evaluate it?

These are the topics of this address.
