Lucas Eduardo is a native of Sao Paulo Brazil, Lucas had his first contact with repinique in 2006 at the Escola de samba Só Vou Se Você For. At 11 years old, in 2007 Lucas went to Escola de Samba Sociedade Rosas de Ouro Kids samba program and then started to be part of the official school battery.
Repique is Lucas’ principal instrument, and is active in the music scene performing shows and workshops in Brazil and abroad. Since he started he has never stopped playing repique along with his partner, Hebert. They held the honor of the Repinique de Ouro, competition organized by UESP in the years 2010, 2012 and 2013, they also parade together in the samba schools Sociedade Rosas de Ouro today.
Lucas's main work is the Duetto project (Duo de repique e repique mor) where they hold workshops and performances for drums at World. DuettO was born to explore, to seek new language tools for the execution of repinique in the music scene in general.
Lucas has travelled extensively performing concerts and giving workshops in countries such as France, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Dubai, United States, Uruguay, and Japan, sharing happiness in the form of sound, sharing knowledge and contributing to samba culture around the world.
He also acts as a judge in university drum tournaments throughout Brazil, accompanying and assisting in the evolution of the movement.
