The pandemic has drastically changed the way we work. With social distancing rules in place, companies had to quickly adapt by facilitating remote working capabilities for their employees. This increased reliance on digital skills and knowledge as more people had to use virtual platforms such as Zoom or Slack to connect. Furthermore, traditional team hierarchies have been replaced with more flat structures that can be managed remotely.

Human-centred leadership is about putting people first—employees and customers alike—and trusting them to make decisions based on their best judgment. It is also about encouraging open communication between managers and employees so that everyone’s objectives are met effectively. Finally, it involves providing resources, tools, and support for employees to succeed in their roles, even if they are working remotely. In short, it's about creating an environment where everyone feels safe and respected enough to do their best daily work.

Adapting management practices has become essential today as the pandemic has drastically changed our work. Josh Bersin believes that embracing a human-centred approach is critical for any organization looking to increase productivity while simultaneously having happy and engaged employees. By empowering your employees with trust and providing them with the resources they need to succeed, you can create an environment where everyone feels safe and respected enough to do their best work every day – no matter where they’re located or what job they do within your organization. Ultimately human-centred leadership leads happier and more productive teams who are better equipped for success now – and beyond 2021 when things return (hopefully) to normal!
