Gustav Mahler's most famous piece is arguably his Symphony No. 2, known as the "Resurrection Symphony." Composed between 1888 and 1894, it is celebrated for its grand scale, emotional depth, and exploration of life, death, and spiritual rebirth. The symphony is a monumental work, lasting about 80-90 minutes, and features five movements. Its powerful finale includes a chorus and vocal soloists, expressing a vision of resurrection and eternal life. Mahler's orchestration, innovative structure, and blending of song and symphony make this piece a landmark in the Romantic repertoire.
