With the explosion of remote work, we were concerned about the experience of those working or learning from home. Now, it’s about anywhere work. We’re back in the office and on campus, at least part time. Collaboration spaces are occupied, and the focus is shifting toward the on-site experience.
Shure’s Richard Knott visits The Collaboration Space to explore why quality audio IN the room is essential, especially in larger spaces.

Tyler shares insights about the current meeting experience now that most of us are back in the office and on campus at least a few days a week.

  • RTO is a challenge. Why leave the comfort of your home where connecting to a meeting is easy? The return to work experience must be inviting; otherwise, what’s the incentive to go?
  • People have high expectations about their office experiences.
  • Workplaces are changing; meeting spaces must be flexible to accommodate different-sized groups.
  • This includes everyone from corporate to government agencies to colleges and universities.

How can technology help here?

  • Everyone needs to hear each other in the room: provide great audio that also helps remote participants listen to what’s happening.
  • Not everyone will sit next to a microphone or camera in larger spaces.
  • Proper microphone choices and placement can ensure speech is picked up throughout the room.
  • Using systems that link cameras and microphones help ensure the best coverage.
