Have you ever wanted to do something new but decided you couldn't because you had never done it? Do you let your lack of knowledge stop you from trying something BIG or NEW?

Listen to this episode to help you use five simple steps that are proven to help you master doing new things even when you don't have the experience you think you have to have.

  1. Decide your are going to do it and write it down in an affirmative, current statement.
  2. Research what it takes to make it happen. Make your best guess on skills, resources, and connections it will take.
  3. Review and brainstorm to identify mentors, courses, skill building you will need to do it.
  4. Organize your plan based on actions you must take to make it happen and add to your calendar.
  5. Set yourself up for success by addressing your D.I.R.T. (Doubts, Insecurities, Resistance, and Triggers) ahead of time.

You can do anything you put your mind to. Most of our lives is simply rehearsal for something coming in our future. Think about all your firsts. The first time you walked, talked, drove, got a job, held someone's hand, feel in love, or interviewed. What do all of them have in common? They were all something you had never done before until one specific moment in time. All those moments build on one another.
