Hello everyone! Thanks for choosing the Dense Muffin today. In this episode, I will be playing an interview from my college years with Rev. Russ Sommerfeld. Rev. Sommerfeld joined Concordia University's Theology faculty in 2016. He has served as a rural dual parish pastor in Kansas and a small town pastor in Nebraska, as well as serving as a senior pastor at a Nebraska church with a campus ministry. In 2015, he completed 12 years as president of the Nebraska District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
This interview is about his journey through his faith and his life as a parish pastor and professor of Theology at Concordia University, Nebraska.
