Some of the most common things my clients have said they want more of in their life are energy, mental clarity or stillness or more internal peace (something along those lines), and happiness/joy.

If you're thinking yes, but also I want to be healthy, the question I ask is what would having health give you. Like, how would you feel about yourself, your life, when you have the health (or any outcome) you want?

Most people will tell you to do the hard thing meaning do what you need to do first, or get yourself motivated and do everything before you take a break, earn your rest. And this by far is one of the most common stories that I find behind people who struggle to rest AND in many of these cases my clients with these patterns are coming to see me because they have anxiety or a chronic illness or they're stuck in a pattern that no matter how hard they work to achieve it... they can't.

I'm offering a different perspective on rest. Flipping the story. Giving you a different way to look at your relationship with rest and doing MORE of what you want to do in your day/life. One thing you might find is that doing more of what you want doesn't necessarily come at the expense of doing what you need to do... in fact, you might find that "motivation" comes back and the procrastination seems to dissolve a lot faster.

If this episode resinated, come find me over on instagram @drkirstin and send me a message. I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback.

Or send me a message over on instagram to get the details about the new breakthrough series that, in 8 weeks, will get to the root of your anxiety, burnout, rage, guilt and overwhelm making those "old" patterns. By the end of the 8 weeks you'll not only be no longer stuck, but you'll also know that the things that used to make you upset, that you used to react to, no longer do that anymore and now you have the capacity to respond. Now you no longer ride the emotional rollercoaster and the mental spirals and cycles? You've stepped off of those and created your new path.
